Loom Bands

Loom bands have become so popular recently internationally, so I decided to do a post on them.

They have gripped the nation with there colourful easy to make bracelets. And the fact you get 300 bands in a normal pack for £1.00/99p makes it even better. I only started buying the bands & making the bracelets two weeks ago but I have made altogether 4 bracelets of different designs/patterns. They are great for when you want something to do, you can do them whilst watching tv or just anywhere really. It is just fun to do whenever you want.

It was my birthday on Wednesday & my sister bought me a box with 18 compartments to put all my loom bands in. But I will probably haved to get another box as there are just too many different colours/pattern bands. There are lots of different bracelet/necklace/ring/bracelet charm designs to produce & you can have a look on google & youtube at tutorials to make the designs. I find this website useful for finding different designs to produce: http://loomlove.com/

Here a few designs:

So I would suggest you get some bands & start creating. Dont be one of those people who wants to try it but your friends think its lame as you may convince them to start so get some, its something to do in your free time.

Review | Divergent

I just recently finished reading the book 'Divergent' so I have decided to do this post on my review.

Divergent was first only a book as it is in a three book series written by Veronica Roth. Divergent is the first book in the series then second is 'Insurgent' which I own and have just started reading then third and lastly 'Allegiant' which I do not own but will be buying as soon as I can. However you may know that recently Divergent has been made into a film and has been very popular in cinemas.

From reading the book I get the idea that it is a bit like the hunger games as it includes decisions where some will benefit and others not at all .

So a basic summary of the story is...

The Choosing Ceremony is near & its all Tris can think about.
(So basically the city is made up of four different sections: 'Abnegation', 'Erudite', 'Amity'. 'Dauntless'. So everyone is born into one of these sections & grows up in that area & lives by the rules that are expected in that area. But when a child reaches a certain age they haved to take an aptitude test which determines which area you belong in as after the test there is a choosing ceremony where you choose to leave that area you grew up in forever and live in a different area or stay with the family you grew up with in the area you were from. But once you pick your area there is an intiation process where the top 10 initiates become part of that area till they die but the rest become 'factionless' - homeless.)
So when Tris' aptitude test results come back as DIVERGENT she knows she is in danger.

Shailene Woodley as
Tris.
This is a really good book and probably an even better film especially if your into the hunger games. It has 'The Fault In Our Stars' characters Shailene Woodley
(Hazel) and Ansel Elgort (Augustus) in the film which makes it even better. Its also very futuristic so if you like sci-fi then its a good book for you to.

Ansel Elgrot as
Caleb.
It contains some romance & some heartbreak, some sadness & will make you want to read on & on. What makes it even better is it is written in three different books. I am so glad I bought it.

Therefore I recommend you get Divergent ASAP then of course you will obviously haved to get Insurgent then Allegiant & you will thank me for telling you.
